The defense of the doctoral thesis of Anne Leturque (Université Paul-Valéry- Montpellier 3) took place on saturday 28th novembre and it was directed by Manuel Castiñeiras (Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona) and Géraldine Mallet (Université Paul-Valéry - Montepellier 3 ). Final mark: tres HONORABLE AVEC FÉLICITATIONS.

Title: Semsim per partes discuntur quaelibet artes…Chaque art s’aprend lentement, pas à pas..Mise en regard d’un savoir écrit sur l’art de peindre au Moyen Âge (le Liber Diuersarum artium- Ms. H277- Biliothèque inter-universitaire de Médecine-Montpellier) et d’un savoir-faire pratique (les œuvres peintes sur murs et sur panneaux de bois en Catalogne aux XIIè et XIIIè siècles). 

The defense of the doctoral thesis of Aurora Rubio Misfud, Magistri Cataloniae research project' collaborator, will take place on monday 21th december at 11:30 a.m. The title of the thesis is " La pintura mural gòtica lineal al territori valencià. Status Quo del corpus conegut.  Estudi i anàlisis de la seva conservació ", and it is directed by María Antonia Zalbidea Muñoz.

The defense of the doctoral thesis of Joan Duran, Magistri Cataloniae research project' researcher, will take place on friday 18th december at 11 a.m. The title of the thesis is " La orfebrería románica en Cataluña (950 a 1250)", and it is directed by Anna Orriols Alsina.

Next Thursday 3 December (7 pm), at the Mouseio Ekmageion-Faculty of Philosophy de la Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Manuel Castiñeiras will give a talk entitled:

Patterns and Travelling Artists: Mobility and Transfer in the Mediterranean Medieval Painting around 1200.

Anna Orriols will held a lecture entitled "Ilustradores y copistas (c. 950-c. 1200). Estrategias visuales para la posteridad" at the International Conference: Medieval Manuscripts in Motion, that has been organized by the Institute for Medieval Studies of the Nova University Lisbon

Next 17 April 2015 will be held the I Jornada Magistri Cataloniae with a session entitled:  "El Pórtico de la Gloria en contexto europeu, hispano y mediterraneo". This colloque has been organized by Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and coordinated by Carls Sánchez (Magistri Cataloniae).

Next 24 February Verónica Abenza, researcher of our research project Magistri Cataloniae, is giving a lecture in the International Research Conference: Presence and InVisibility – sign-bearing artefacts in sacral spaces. This Conference has been organized by the Research Project Materiale Textkulturen of the Universität Heidelberg. The lecture is entitled: In the name of the queen. Female patron portraits and inscriptions in 11th Century Aragon.
